Camila Cabello's Grandma Was Her Biggest Fan During Her Hometown Concert

It's no secret that Camila Cabello is a woman with a strong connection to her family and the former Fifth Harmony singer shed some shine on those figures when she shared a video from her hometown show at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium as part of her opening set for Taylor Swift on Saturday night (August 18).

While the clip featured appearances from the star's parents and best friends, the primary focus fell on her grandmother, who was seen adorably singing along to the star's single, "Never Be The Same." "My grandma, our best friends Jenni and Alex, and my parents watching the show last night. broke my heart," she captioned the video alongside a crying emoji. Cabello's set also brought out the likes of star-studded names like Gloria and Emilio Estefan, who took a photo with the star during the affair.

After her set, which was praised by Swift mid-concert, the 21-year-old chart-topper took to Instagram to reflect on what it meant to play a show in the 305. "Last night was the Miami show on the reputation tour, and it's the first time I’ve performed in my hometown this year," she kicked off the message. "You guys took my breath away, @taylorswift made me cry, and it was a night I'll never forget."

"I've lived in the same city since I was 6 years old and I'm never leaving because I love Miami so much," she continued. "My whole family was there last night, and like I said on stage I can’t imagine how weird it must be for them realizing that the same girl who didn't want anybody to look at her, who waited for her parents to go to Publix to sing in her room, who made her grandma stand in the closet and close her eyes while she played guitar and sang to her from the other side of the door, that same girl who didn't want anybody to look at her is suddenly telling her most intimate stories to a stadium of 64,000 people."

"Not to mention she's opening for the person whose poster she had on her wall that made her wanna write about love in the first place," she wrote in reference to Swift. "Life is crazy and nights like that remind me anything is possible when you decide to be brave."
