Demi Lovato's weekend saw the pop star serve as a bridesmaid for her best friend of 23 years and it's clear that thew now-sober star is attempting to live a better life since her near-fatal drug overdose.
On Monday (January 14), the former Disney star took to Instagram to share two selfies from the ceremony between longtime friend Jenna Schubart and Lee Smith. "I was a bridesmaid yesterday for my sister/ former babysitter/friend of 23 years... I love you @jennaschubart," she captioned the post, adding a black heart emoji. "What a perfect wedding for a perfect couple!! #MrandMrsSmith"
Meanwhile, over on her Instagram Story, the 26-year-old couldn't help but show some love to her mother, Dianna De La Garza, and her spin on dancing. "My mom twerks... with her arms," she captioned one of the videos of the dancefloor festivity to Beyoncé's "Crazy In Love" featuring JAY-Z. In another clip, she highlighted Dianna and her step-father, Eddie De La Garza, for their romantic slow dance at the ceremony.
Earlier this month, Lovato opened up about her new extension on life via a confessional Instagram Story. "So grateful for the lessons I’ve learned this year. I will never take another day in life for granted, even the bad ones," the singer wrote around her New Year's Day celebration, adding, "Thankful for my fans, friends, family and everyone who supported me throughout this year. God bless."
